My 2013 Word of the Year

I debated long and hard over which word I wanted to use.  Effort, intention, sacrifice.  Nothing seemed to fit more than the most simple word - work. 

 This is a word I have been trying to avoid for a long time.  I like to think that things just sort of work out, but I'm realizing more and more that in waiting for them to "just work out" I am robbing myself of an even richer life.  I can't get a return on an investment that I don't invest in. So this year will be about work.  Putting in effort to move forward physically, financially and creatively.
